CMHC's Rural Rental Market Survey is conducted every 5 years in advance of each Census year in centres with 2,500 to 10,000 people. These tables contain the following data:
- Units by bedroom type
- Vacancy rate by bedroom type
- Average rent by bedroom type
The CMHC Rural Rental Market Survey uses the same methodology as the CMHC Rental Market Survey, except for the size of the communities that are sampled and the frequency with which the survey is conducted. Please refer to the Rental Market Survey Methodology page for more information.
