Established in 1994, by a dedicated group of community leaders, Durham Community Foundation (DCF) is one of 211 Community Foundations in Canada.
We are committed to building a resilient and caring community in the Region of Durham through our endowments, leadership and philanthropy.
Our forever funds(endowments) are invested wisely, ensuring permanent financial resources for our Foundation to support students seeking a post secondary education and charitable organizations receiving essential funds to address the most pressing needs throughout the Region of Durham. Since inception DCF has granted $5.5 Million to 300+ charities.
We are currently working on our first Vital Signs Report for the Region of Durham in an effort to inform the community on giving priorities and to ensure that our grants are based on data.
