Last summer Open Government invited the to comment on the draft commitments for Canada’s 2018-2020 National Action Plan on Open Government. The Action Plan is now complete and offers ten commitments aimed at advancing progress on government accountability and citizen participation. It includes commitments and activities, such as upgrading digital government services, renewing relationships with Indigenous Peoples, and opening up more access to federal scientific research and data.

Canada is joining the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and countries around the world in hosting the second edition of Open Government Week. Open Government Week will be held from March 11-17, 2019 and hopes you can participate in the 2nd edition of Open Government Week!
