Now that school is back in full swing, here is a quick look at education for adults (aged 25 to 64) from the 2011 National Household Survey:

  • 64.1% had postsecondary qualifications
  • 25.9% had a university degree (women accounted for 53.7%)
  • 18.0% had a university degree in "business, management, marketing and related support services"
  • 3.4% had a university degree in "computer and information sciences and support services"
  • 73.8% with a postsecondary qualification had studied in the province or territory in which they resided in 2011
  • 25.5% with a university degree had studied outside of Canada
